Day 245 of war in Ukraine.

Ukraine resists at the gates of a harsh winter. Russia prepares its defense in the east of the Dnipro River and escape routes to the west in the face of a “potential withdrawal”. The city of Kherson, the only provincial capital controlled by the Russian army, has been the hot spot of the war for weeks.

In his late-night address, President Volodymyr Zelensky has reiterated its commitment to retake Kherson, the loss of which would be a serious setback, yet another, for Vladimir Putin. A high-ranking Ukrainian official has told Reuters that Kherson will be “the toughest of the battles” to date.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin continues to insist that kyiv is preparing a dirty bomb – an explosive device mixed with radioactive material – and has taken it to the United Nations Security Council, but it is not getting support for its complaint. NATO has already ruled on this – Moscow “falsely” accuses.
