The Russian authorities have summoned the Japanese ambassador to Russia, Toyohisa Kozuki, this Friday to transfer their protest to him over the announcement of a military aid package for Ukraine.
“Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko has summoned the Japanese ambassador in connection with the start of shipment of these supplies, which include armed vehicles,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Thus, he pointed out that Tokyo’s decision leads to an “increase in hostilities and the number of victims of the Ukrainian regime”, as stated in the document, which calls Ukraine’s actions “terrorists”.
In this sense, he has warned that this decision endangers the relationship between Russia and Japan and “it will not be without consequences”. “Tokyo leads bilateral relations to a dead end,” she stressed.
