From aliens to fifth columns in the “Novaja Gazeta”, the artist Petr Sarukhanov has tried to draw the complete picture of the “enemies of holy Russia”, composing a list that seems to be updated endlessly. As Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained, “the special military operation has re-compacted our society, allowing us to purify it.”
Moscow () – The well-known artist and Novaja Gazeta publicist, Petr Sarukhanov, has tried to describe the complete picture of the “enemies of holy Russia” inside and outside the country, composing a list that seems to be updated non-stop in “Russia surrounded by aliens. The “Satanist” West is remembered, the Jews “in the airplane turbine”, the gypsy nomads, the emigrants from Asia, the Caucasians, the Anglo-Saxons, the LGBT exponents, the supporters of the ideology without children, and now the quadrobers, animalized human beings, have also been added. Not to mention the political opponents and all those who do not fully agree with the Kremlin line, and according to Patriarch Kirill, even the “peeping toms and lazy people” who hide from the demands of war, all of them characters for which corrective “sanitary measures” should be reserved.
The big enemies are, of course, NATO, the United States, the EU and all those who are on the front line on the side of the Ukrainian Ucronazis. At home there are many inoagenty who work for them and participate in the activities of “undesirable organizations.” In addition to the current dissidents, Sarukhanov points out that “the dissidents of the Soviet period and the victims of the Stalinist period have also become enemies again.” The Orthodox Church condemns the “servants of the dark forces of this time” who surrender to the “spirit of the Antichrist”, those who celebrate Halloween, perhaps adding pagan deities from pre-Christian Russia, the radical Muslims who wear the hijab, to the “destructive liberals.”
A fierce fight must be waged against the internal enemies, the fifth columns or the national-traitors, as Vladimir Putin calls them, the national-predators. Laws are multiplying to prohibit any manifestation of hostility, lists are drawn up such as those proposed by the vice-president of the Duma, Anna Kuznetsova, to finalize the “law of laws”, that of the “prohibition of everything”, and they have already been compiled two large volumes of material for it. On the religious and spiritual level, recalling the lists of the philosopher and diplomat Joseph De Maistre at the beginning of the 19th century, ambassador to Russia of the Kingdom of Sardinia, they condemn “Jansenists, deists, atheists, Freemasons, Jews, even Protestants and Catholics,” especially those of the Byzantine rite linked to the Ukrainians. To the extent possible, “independent scholars, democrats, Jacobins, liberals, utilitarians, anticlericals, egalitarians, libertarians, journalists, intellectuals, all those who believe in the freedom of the individual, the reformers who appeal to common sense and individual reason.
Sarukhanov reminds us that “every authoritarian regime needs enemies, otherwise its model of political construction would lose meaning. There are class or racial groups that do not fit into accepted norms, such as gypsies and Jews, but also people with mental illnesses, the lišentsy, as those deprived of the right to freedom were called in the early days of the USSR. I vote not to belong to the ruling class of the proletariat, then the bourgeoisie, the uklonisty of the right and left, that is, the “renouncers” of compulsory military service or political directives, another term of the Soviet past that has come back into fashion; Then the worst were the Trotskyists, today the Navalnistas.
As Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained, “the special military operation has re-compacted our society, allowing us to cleanse it of all those who do not feel part of the history and culture of Russia and the Russian world.” The artist-writer concludes by stating that “instead of the goal of inflation, which is triggered by rising prices, we have the goal of rampant hatred, instead of butter and eggs we wage holy war against the aliens, those satanists who “They ate all the butter and broke all the eggs.” Without the continuous burden of hatred ‘Putin’s system is staggering, it must continually relaunch itself in an endless war, without positive objectives, only negative ones, destroying all enemies.’ As the Orthodox oligarch Konstantin Malofeev proclaimed at the meetings of the Universal Council of the Russian People: “We Russians are the victorious people, we are the people of God, and if God is with us, who will be against us?” That is why we always have to find new enemies, for fear of losing God’s help.
