July 25 () –
Russian authorities on Monday rejected the US government’s decision to deny a visa to a senior Russian official to attend a United Nations meeting.
Dimitri Polianski, spokesman for cybersecurity affairs of the Kremlin, has thus indicated that Moscow has “strongly” condemned Washington’s decision, which prevents Andrei Krutskij, the main senior position in cybersecurity, from attending the UN meeting.
“We have transferred to the US authorities our strong protest against this decision,” said the senior official, according to information collected by various Russian media.
In this sense, he has asked the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, to take concrete measures to “resolve this unacceptable situation”. “We hope that the organization’s leaders will address this issue,” he added.
