MADRID 9 Oct. () –

Russian authorities have approved the creation of a new department of Reconstruction and Development of the Border Region of the Government of Kursk province, near the border with Ukraine and the scene of a ground incursion launched by kyiv several months ago.

This was confirmed by the governor of Kursk, Alexei Smirnov, on his official Telegram channel, where he announced a restructuring of some executive bodies of the regional government, as well as the creation of this new department.

Last August, Ukrainian troops invaded the Russian province, managing to take over a hundred towns, an unprecedented operation since the invasion of Ukraine began more than two and a half years ago. However, as the weeks went by, the Russian Army has managed to recover territory.
