The authorities of the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk, in eastern Ukraine and close to Russia, have denounced this Friday that 290 civilians, including 17 children, have died and almost 2,900 have been injured in Ukrainian attacks since the beginning of the invasion. Ukrainian forces have since carried out some 7,300 bombing raids which have resulted in the impact of some 59,300 projectiles in the territory controlled by the separatist forces, including 31 missiles, according to the balance of the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire of the Donetsk People’s Republic. What concerns to material damage, the pro-Russian authorities have evidence of damage to some 6,100 residential buildings and some 1,300 civil infrastructure, including 266 schools, 82 medical centers and 467 energy and water supply facilities. The United Nations, for its part, has confirmed 251 dead and 992 wounded in the territories controlled by the pro-Russian forces in Donetsk and in neighboring Luganskalso in eastern Ukraine, since the beginning of the invasion, according to its latest balance published on August 1.
