June 29 () –
The Russian government has approved the extension of the permit for the export of gasoline during the month of July in a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers published on the official legislation portal.
“Previous measures to regulate exports have proven effective and we have led to saturation of the domestic market. Therefore, the Government has decided to apply a suspension of the temporary ban on gasoline exports for another month, starting from July 1,” said Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev in an official statement from the Ministry.
Tsivilev has stressed that reserves are sufficient and that demand is fully covered, which is why the ban established on March 1 is suspended for a period of six months, until the end of August.
However, at the end of May, a provisional suspension of the ban was approved until the end of June, which has now been extended for a second month.
