Russia denounced this Tuesday other two ukrainian attacks with American missiles ATACMS against the Kursk region after last week’s launch of Russian hypersonic missile Oreshnik against Ukraine.
“According to confirmed data, in the last three days the Armed Forces of Ukraine have carried out two attacks with long-range Western weapons against targets in the region of Kursk“, declared the Russian Defense Ministry, which announced that it is “preparing response actions.”
The Russian Defense Ministry indicated that both attacks targeted positions of Russian forces in the Kursk region. The first took place on Saturday, November 23, and two of the five missiles launched against a Russian S-400 air defense system hit the target, damaging its radar system.

In the second attack, this Monday, eight missiles were launched at the Kursk-Vostochny airport, which also houses a military air base. A missile hit the target and injured two soldiers, the ministry said in a statement.
“The Ministry… has the situation under control and retaliatory measures are being prepared,” he said.
The first time Ukraine used this type of American-made long-range missile to attack the neighboring Bryansk region It was last November 19, just two days after the administration of Joe Biden turn 180 degrees to authorize its use.
Just one day after this first attack with ATACMS, The Ukrainian Army also debuted the missiles Storm Shadow of the United Kingdom to hit Russian targets in the Kursk region.
The Kremlin’s retaliation was immediate. Last Thursday Russia launched the Oreshnik hypersonic missile against an arms factory in the Ukrainian region of Dnipro.
Russian President Vladimir Putin then threatened kyiv with new attacks with new generation missiles in case it repeats its attacks with weapons from its Western partners against Russian territory.
