Russia has denounced a failed Ukrainian attack against the Russian naval ship ‘Priazovye’, which was at the time of the offensive on major natural gas pipelines in the Black Sea. The ship was “monitoring the situation and ensuring security along the routes of the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the southeastern part of the Black Sea,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday, as reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. Ukraine launched its offensive some 300 kilometers southeast of Sevastopolspecifically, against the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Crimean peninsula -annexed to Russia-.
The TurkStream pipeline is an infrastructure launched by Russia and Turkey, which has a capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters by year. TurkStream allows Moscow to transport natural gas to southern Europe via the Black Sea and Turkey, bypassing Ukraine. While the Blue Stream delivers Russian gas to Türkiye.

The Russian Defense has also reported that at the time of the attack on the ‘Priazovye’ ship, a American unmanned surveillance plane RQ-4 Global Hawk was in the central Black Sea area.
Despite the incident, “the Black Sea Fleet ship ‘Priazovye’ continues to carry out its assigned tasks,” Russia said, adding that it responded to the attacks by destroying the Ukrainian naval drones.
For now Ukraine has not spoken about.
