The Russian authorities have claimed to have shot down this Thursday more than 110 drones launched by Ukrainian troops against various regions of the country, with no information on casualties for now, within the framework of the war unleashed after the invasion order given in February 2022 by the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

“During the last night, an attempt by the kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using unmanned aerial devices against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was aborted,” the Russian Defense Ministry said through its Telegram account.

Thus, he detailed that “air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 113 Ukrainian unmanned aerial devices,” including 73 in the Belgorod region, near the border. To them are added 25 in Voronezh, fourteen in Kursk – scene of a Ukrainian incursion since August – and one in Bryansk.

On the other hand, at least eleven people were injured late Wednesday due to the impact of a projectile launched by Russia against a five-story residential building in the city of Kharkiv, capital of the province of the same name (northeast).

The spokesperson for the regional government, Olena Shapoval, detailed that five of the injured have been hospitalized, although she stressed that they are “in mild or moderate condition,” according to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform. One of the injured is a three-year-old girl who has already been discharged to continue her treatment at home.
