Jul 28. () –

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the capture of the towns of Progress and Yevgenovka in the Ukrainian province of Donetsk.

“Units of the Central Group of Russian Forces have liberated the towns of Progress and Yevgenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ministry said, referring to the name of the self-proclaimed Ukrainian secessionist republic now annexed by Russia.

Meanwhile, the pro-Russian authorities in Donetsk have reported the death of a civilian when a Ukrainian kamikaze drone crashed into a car in Elenovka.

“Additional information has been received about civilian casualties in the republic’s cities: in the town of Elenovka, a man born in 1977 was killed in a car as a result of a drone attack,” they said.

A shell has also been reported to have hit an apartment building on Nizhnevartovskaya Street in the provincial capital of the same name.
