Russia announces the destruction of four US missile systems during the month of July

The Russian Defense Ministry announced this Friday that, between July 5 and 20, its forces have managed to destroy up to four US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems.

This has been stated by the spokesman for the Defense portfolio, Igor Konashenkov, who has detailed that the Russian Armed Forces have managed to achieve their objectives through high-precision weapons.

According to Konashenkov, two launchers have been eliminated in the Malotaranovka area; another HIMARS and a cargo and transport vehicle in the Krasnoarmeisk area; while the fourth missile launch system has been destroyed on the eastern outskirts of Konstantinovka, all of them located in Donetsk, in eastern Ukraine.

The M142 HIMARS is a high mobility multiple launch rocket system developed by the American company Lockheed Martin and which stands on a six-wheeled chassis, weighing five tons.

HIMARS systems are a fundamental part of the arms supply that the United States allocates to Ukraine in order to strengthen its military capabilities in the face of the Russian invasion, ordered by the president of the Eurasian country, Vladimir Putin, almost five months ago.
