It was a few weeks ago when Nintendo confirmed that it is already working on its new console, which it will announce before the end of the fiscal year (March 2025). However, it seems that the company will continue supporting Switch after that date and would already be developing 2 great games for it.
As you probably know, Nintendo had to abandon the Wii U ship earlier than planned to focus its efforts on the Switch. Because of this, the generational change on that occasion felt very abrupt and, fortunately, everything went well despite the risk.
Now, the big N wants to take things slow and will wait until the last moment to announce its new hardware, although a new rumor claims that this will not make them leave the hybrid behind.
According to information from PH Brasil, who were the first to point out that the new platform was delayed to 2025, the house of Mario Bros. has 2 re-releases planned for Nintendo Switch that will arrive after March 2025 and possibly on a date in which Switch 2 is already on the market.
What kind of games will be re-released for Nintendo Switch?
Everything indicates that one of them was originally released for GameCube and the second is a classic Nintendo 3DS title, both of which will receive a new version that will surely attract attention.
However, the source of this rumor assured that these projects will not be announced at the Nintendo Direct next June, so hybrid users will have to wait until the end of the year or a little longer to find out about them.
It is worth mentioning that with these movements Nintendo will confirm its intention to continue supporting Switch, despite the fact that its successor is available, something similar to what Sony did with PlayStation 4 when PlayStation 5 arrived.
The bad news is that it is not yet known which games have been chosen to receive a remake or a remaster, although the community is already mentioning some names such as Kid Icarus: Uprising and, of course, the HD versions of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
We will remain attentive to find out if this rumor becomes a reality and we will share any news about it with you.
