Last week it was confirmed that PlayStation VR2, Sony’s new virtual reality headset, will not be compatible with games for the first PlayStation VR. This is news that disappointed many who would have liked to enjoy some of the great games that came to Sony’s first virtual reality headset. Fortunately, it seems that the developers are working on changing this.
As it happens, PSVR Without Parole, a PlayStation VR-focused YouTube channel, revealed that “a bunch” of developers are working on PSVR 2 ports of their PSVR games. In this way, different games would come to the new virtual reality platform and take advantage of its features.
This information was corroborated by Push Square, a medium that assured that it had heard similar information: “For a while we have heard that developers are working on ports of their best-selling virtual reality games.”

That said, it is unknown which games will possibly receive a PSVR 2 port. It will be necessary to see if Sony supports this and works so that titles like Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Blood & Truth do not get stuck in the last generation of their headset. of virtual reality.
Of course, at the moment it is unknown how the developers will monetize these supposed ports. They may simply decide to offer them as a free upgrade for those who already own the games, but there’s also a chance they’ll charge an extra fee to make the jump to PSVR 2.
