The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have accused the Sudanese Army of having launched attacks against civilians in residential areas this Saturday in Khartoum, which would have caused dozens of deaths and injuries.
The attack has taken place against the Kandahar cattle market, causing the death of a large number of cattle, and against other civilian buildings, including a mosque in the south of the city.
“RSF condemns the ongoing brutal assault on innocent civilians by the Sudanese Army. Our hearts go out to the victims of today’s attack, who have indiscriminately attacked homes, businesses and even a mosque in Al Azhari,” the RSF said. on his Twitter account.
While the Sudanese Army has denounced that the RSF have shelled villages in Western Darfur, they have blamed the Army for “fueling” the conflict in the region to “guarantee their survival in power under the pretext of maintaining security and stability”. , has published the portal Sudan Akhbar.
These accusations have been made just one day after the signing in the Saudi city of Jeddah of the ‘Declaration of Commitment’, the preliminary agreement between the RSF and the Sudanese Army in which they have agreed to allow the passage of aid humanitarian aid and to protect civilians in areas where combat is the scene.
