The meeting brought together more than 140 attendees completely free of charge at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Concepción. Julio Godoy, professor and organizer of the congress, made an assessment of the activity “the evaluation is super good, many people have come, very interested, we are very happy with the result of the activity and we are already planning the following versions.”
The congress was held on January 9 and 10 in the Salvador Gálvez auditorium and hall of the Faculty of Engineering, where Different activities were carried out such as expert talks, programming workshops and the robots were shown with which the faculty currently has.
Patricio Zambrano is a professor at the Colegio Madres Dominicas de Concepción and attended the meeting on both days. He stated that “the initiative has been excellent. power togetting closer and knowing the reality of robotics gives us a lot of knowledge. I think that the sooner we apply technology to our production processes, that we bring technology to school classrooms, we will have more kids interested in robotics. The talks have exceeded my expectations, I am very happy”.

Another participant was Cristián Ramírez, who accompanied his two children who wanted to learn more about robotics. “I was interested in participating because of my children because they have a lot of motivation, it has caught their attention and they liked it a lot. The congress has met my expectations, especially the training for the children and the demonstrations they have done with the robots”, he said.
Finally, Professor Godoy highlighted the work that the faculty is doing in terms of this technology “we are doing a lot of things, Professor Aqueveque has robotic arms that he is applying to the industry, we are leading programming workshops for engineering students, dissemination to schools , generating projects to acquire new robots and thus be able to use them in dissemination, research and teaching activities”, he concluded.
