Roblox will make its 3D creation model available in an open source format

September 10 (Portaltic/EP) –

Roblox has announced a new feature that will allow users of its platform to participate in group experiences with other people, and it has been anticipated that it will facilitate the foundational model that allows content to be created with generative artificial intelligence.

Roblox recently held its annual Roblox Developers Conference (RDC) in San Jose, California, where it updated the figures for its platform, which now has 79.5 million daily active users worldwide.

The company has set itself the next goal of reaching one billion daily users, but before that, along the way, they hope to achieve another “ambitious” goal: that 10 percent of the income generated by all video game content worldwide passes through the Roblox ecosystem.

In addition, the new ‘Party’ feature has also been announced, allowing users to join together to participate in the platform’s experiences, with the possibility of communicating via voice and text.

‘Party’ will be available for users aged 9 and over, and voice calls only for those over 13 who have a verified phone number, as the company explained in your official blog.

Roblox has also shared some details about its internal project that uses generative artificial intelligence to create real-time content for games. It is based on a foundational 3D and multimodal model (supporting text, video, and 3D input) that the company will provide under an open source model.
