July 14 (Portaltic/EP) –
roblox corporation has announced that his roblox open beta be compatible with the Meta Quest viewer “in the coming weeks”, with which users will be able to develop and share their experiences to enjoy them in virtual reality (VR) without the need for specific knowledge or “coding efforts”.
The game, which is based on an immersive 3D platform, is available on different platforms, from iOS and Android mobile devices, to desktop computers and consoles. This is the result of work with which Roblox is looking for “that the same experiences run everywhere.”
Now, Roblox has announced that will include “in the coming weeks” compatibility with Meta Quest in its video game platform. In this way, the Roblox open beta will be available on App Lab so that users 13 and older can create new experiences for virtual reality or bring their existing experiences to Meta Quest.
Thus, users will be able to explore Roblox’s immersive 3D platform with new possibilities to connect, communicate and express themselves with other players regardless of the device or platform being used, as the company has explained in a communicated on its website.
Until now, developing a VR experience required a team with “specific knowledge and experience.” However, as the company points out, with Roblox’s compatibility with Meta Quest, developers will be able to publish their existing platform experiences “with hardly any additional coding effort.”

Likewise, the automatic publication of these experiences will become part of the library of experiences compatible with VR devices. This way, Roblox can mark the experience as “playable in Meta Quest”, which will appear with the “VR” option checked in Studio and in the creator panel.
The company You have not specified the specific date, but the Roblox open beta can be found soon in the Meta Quest App Lab and also will collect feedback from users who join the experience.
Despite the fact that Meta introduced its new Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headset last June, which will be available next fall for a price of $499, the open beta will only be compatible for the moment, with the devices Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro.
This is not the only change that Roblox has introduced recently, but it has also begun to allow create gaming experiences designed for ages 17+ years, including “more mature” themes and stories, as well as practices with more “violence, blood or crude humor”.
