RiotGames will integrate the tools of Amazon Web Services data analytics (AWS) in its infrastructure to improve the experience of broadcasting video game competitions (‘eSports’) and involve fans in them.

The developer will use the tools in the AWS cloud, which will extend the services that it currently uses for the design and deployment of its games. It will focus on data analysis to provide competition statistics to the fans of their video games, that the fans will be able to vote for its subsequent implementation.

It will also allow you to create rankings (‘Power Rankings’) with the best teams that will be updated “almost in real time”, and launch challenges in which the participants will be able to select your teams and win prizes during the seasons (‘Pick’em’)

Both Power Rankings and Pick’em will be featured during a hackathon hosted by Riot Games and AWS this fall, while stats will debut at the Power Rankings championship. Valorant in September and in League of Legends World Championship in autumn.
