The rescue ship ‘Humanity 1’ of the German NGO SOS Humanity, has announced the rescue of 45 migrants adrift on a barge in danger of sinking in the waters of the central Mediterranean.
Two fishing boats and a plane from the NGO Sea Watch also participated in the operation, which alerted ‘Humanity’ to the existence of the wooden barge, which had run out of fuel.
