Repsol puts into operation 43 charging points for electric vehicles at the Sierra Nevada station

Dec. 6 () –

Repsol has put into operation 43 public access charging points for electric vehicles in the Sierra Nevada ski resort (Granada), the company reported.

In this way, the multienergética and Cetursa Sierra Nevada reinforce their strategic alliance and strengthen sustainable energy solutions with the aim of the ski resort reaching emissions neutrality in 2050.

Specifically, the charging points will be located in the underground parking lot of Plaza de Andalucía, in Pradollano. These are five 60 kilowatt (kW) fast charging devices, with direct current CCS connector, designed to recharge two vehicles simultaneously at 30 kW, and 33 22 kW alternating current charging points.

Through Waylet, the energy company’s payment application, users will be able to reserve the charging point, check the status of each point, access all the information related to the chargers (availability, type of charge, connectors, etc.) and pay the recharge.

In addition, like the rest of the Repsol charging points, they will have an assistance service, remote incident resolution and telephone service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

MORE THAN 2,060 ACTIVE POINTS IN SPAIN.

Currently, Repsol has more than 2,060 active public charging points in Spain, of which 822 are located at service stations.

With these new charging points in Sierra Nevada there are now 277 that the company already has in Andalusia, of which 54 are in the province of Granada.

Repsol’s Electric Mobility Manager, Carlos Bermúdez, considered that this new facility in Sierra Nevada reinforces the group’s commitment to electric mobility and highlights its extensive public charging network in Spain.

“Repsol’s objective is to guarantee the supply of electricity wherever the electric vehicle recharges, whether in the private home, in the company, or in any publicly accessible location,” he said.

For his part, the CEO of Cetursa Sierra Nevada, Jesús Ibáñez, valued the installation of the charging points “as a step for Sierra Nevada to become a sustainable station”, a path in which “Repsol is a strategic partner for achieve this as has already been demonstrated with the advanced biofuels that have already been used by piste machines to condition the ski area every day.”

In January, both companies signed a strategic agreement by which Repsol joined the Granada winter season as a strategic partner in the search for sustainable energy solutions.

In this sense, the ski resort has been the first facility of its kind in Spain that has used 100% renewable fuels produced by Repsol from waste in piste equipment, in an environment that usually reaches -6ºC on average in winter. sun down
