After so many years of its announcement, Skull & Bones reappeared a few days ago to reveal that it will finally be available before the end of 2022. The reappearance was made with gameplay demonstrations and a stunning cinematic sequence that excited sailing fans who are waiting for this adventure so much. Unfortunately, there is a report suggesting that the game will be due.

According to this anonymous source, although Skull & Bones It is a title that has had a budget similar to that of any triple A title, the people who have worked on it do not believe that it meets the expectations of success that Ubisoft generated and needs.

Skull & Bones it would fall short and lack depth
The developer confessed that the game is practically what was recently shown in the gameplay trailers and that there is nothing beyond that. In fact, the source mentioned that while the title features a handful of resource-gathering survival sim mechanics, each part on its own lacks depth.
The above might seem somewhat disappointing to the fan who saw Skull & Bones with the cool reveal trailer several E3s ago and that he was confident the project would be the ultimate pirate game. Apparently, there is no doubt that the title aspires to be better than Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag in terms of naval mechanics, but it will fall somewhat short for how ambitious it seemed.
