Remedy Entertainment has gained recognition in the video game industry not only for creating Control Y Alan Wake, but also for his talent for creating narrative-focused titles. However, he is trying to break into titles as a service with Vanguard, which promises to be a very ambitious free-to-play game. If you’re expecting it, this is bad news, because it just got delayed.

The Finnish company shared a financial report revealing that it expects revenue to remain at the level of the previous year (approximately €44.7 MEUR); however, it is estimated that operating profits will fall “significantly” compared to last year (€11.4 MEUR), something that was seen to come.

This is mainly due to lower than anticipated 2022 game royalties, plus Vanguard will have more development time to ensure that it meets the quality of Remedy Entertainment games, so development revenue will be postponed to later years, although it will not impact the expected amount.
