Remedy Entertainment recently reappeared to bring news of alan wake 2. The trailer and the reveal of the release date were great, but something that the community did not like very much was the confirmation that the title will not be released in physical format. The fans are not resigned to the fact that the game will be digital only and therefore they are not happy with a new decision made by the studio.
Remedy Entertainment prepared a new video to great fanfare to announce that they have partnered with Airam, a prestigious Finnish company that has specialized in the production of thermoses for more than 100 years, in order to launch the first official thermos of the series.
It is a replica of the thermos that appears in the game, Oh Deer Diner, which fans of the series will remember because they are the collectibles from the original title that made them invest many hours in it.

The collaboration divided the community of alan wake 2
The announcement and promotion of this new item is very good and it is done as highly anticipated. And it certainly is, because any fan of the series will want to get it without a doubt. However, it is an announcement that did not go down very well with a large part of the community, especially after Remedy Entertainment revealed that it would not release alan wake 2 in physical format so that the game did not rise in price.
That, then, is somewhat ironic for many, since the study could well use the money and the effort in the collaboration to make the thermos a reality to work on the discs of alan wake 2.
In case you missed it: THQ Nordic wants to release Alan Wake 2 records and threw a stone at Epic Games.
Either way, Remedy Entertainment would end up jacking up the price of the game if they worked on the discs, something fans probably won’t want. However, this did not prevent many from taking advantage of the occasion to reproach the study for the lack of a physical format.
“They are just digital thermoses,” commented one.
Finally, the thermoses will be on sale from September 2023 and will be part of the launch campaign of alan wake 2in which these collectibles will once again play “a more significant role,” according to the study.
Can you think about making physical copies for the sequel, next?
