Largest exhibition of Egyptian artifacts to open at Shanghai Museum

The fan community Sk8 the Infinity received exciting news this weekend. The anime project’s official Twitter account revealed a new trailer for the long-awaited OVA Sk8 the Infinity Extra Part: It was confirmed that the launch of this exclusive content will be on March 19, 2025. However, those fans who are more anxious will not have to wait that long, since the OVA will have an early screening in theaters in Japan on January 24, for a limited time, in 10 selected rooms.

This OVA, which will last 25 minutes, will be made up of four episodes titled: “Ame to Neko Conbini Ice Soda Aji”, “Maji de Maji ni Nareru Koto”, “Morning Routine” and “Ganbare Hiromi-chan!” respectively.

Although the main duration will be 25 minutes, cinema screenings will include a compilation video of the anime’s first season, as well as a special video with the cast, which will extend the total duration of the show to 60 minutes.

Reki and Langa’s story continues

The original series, which follows two young people with a passion for skateboarding, premiered in January 2021 and quickly became a hit both in Japan and internationally. One of its main attractions is that it is a light and very pleasant series to sit down and enjoy, with an ideal balance between humor, emotion and seriousness.

Sk8 the Infinity tells the story of Reki, a second-year high school student, and Langa, a young man who returns to the Asian country after having lived almost his entire life in Canada and who had never ridden a skateboard.

At one point, both characters find themselves trapped in “S”, a dangerous and clandestine skateboarding race without rules that takes place in an abandoned mine. Among the riders in this competition are not only young people with skateboarding skills, but also eccentric, mysterious and, in some cases, even violent and dangerous characters.

One of the issues that has most excited the followers of Sk8 the Infinity It is the continuity of a story that in the original series had left everyone on the edge of their seats. We hope to see the characters of Reki and Langa again as they experience the ups and downs of their relationship, the competition and emotional challenges that arise between competitions and interactions with other characters.

Sk8 the Infinity expands its success: dubbing in multiple languages, second season and even plays!

As we mentioned earlier, the popularity of Sk8 the Infinity It has spread widely outside of Japan. The anime has been broadcast through multiple platforms such as Crunchyroll, which has subtitles and dubbing in several languages.

The English dubbing began airing in February 2021 with the goal that more people around the world could enjoy the adventures of these two young people.

This return of the anime in OVA format also comes accompanied by the exciting news that Sk8 the Infinity will have a second season, which is currently in production. This further fuels the expectations of fans, who have been asking for continuity of the story and more action on the wheels of skateboards.

In addition, the franchise has also been able to expand its reach through two successful plays that were presented in Japan in December 2021 and January 2023 and were highly successful.
