The industry is taking exciting steps to add virtual reality to the gaming experience. However, it seems that the advances are not as fast as expected and only a small sector uses this technology. Because of this, personalities like Reggie Fils-Aimé remain unconvinced of their characteristics.
As you will surely remember, the good Reggie has always declared himself a great fan of new technologies and the creativity to use them. However, when it comes to virtual reality, the former president of Nintendo of America has remained very restrained.

Now, the businessman shared a tweet in which he talks about the subject once again, where you can see a graph that shows the reach that virtual reality has had in recent years and what is expected for those who come.

As you can see, the graph shows that even by 2027, the sector that uses VR will be minimal, so Reggie believes that this option in video games will continue to be a niche market until there is something different that everyone wants to play.

Taking this into account, and as long as things continue in the same direction, it seems that the future of said technology will remain as an option for a small segment of the community.
