This gave a lot to talk about not only to die-hard fans of the series, but also to those who the anime reached at some point in their lives or who saw the journey of the young man from Pallet Town begin. Precisely one of the most successful reggaeton players today joined the celebration.
The singer we are talking about is the Puerto Rican Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known in the world of fame as Bad Bunny, who is constantly sharing thoughts and phrases that are very well received by his fan community. However, a message that caught the attention of those who are also fans of Pokemon was the one he published on the morning of November 11, since he takes the opportunity to celebrate Ash Ketchum’s historic victory in the anime, which earned him the title of best Pokémon Trainer.
“Congratulations to Ash Ketchum on that great victory. We who are from the beginning know how much it cost,” Bad Bunny said in his message.

bad bunny loves Pokemonanime and Japan
It is not the first time that an artist speaks of Pokemon publicly. A few months ago, as part of a collaboration, dozens of internationally renowned singers composed songs inspired by Pokemonincluding J Balvin, whose song Beware makes multiple explicit mentions of the franchise. To commemorate this, The Pokémon Company produced fabulous exclusive Pokémon TCG cards that no one will get their hands on.
The difference is that Bad Bunny’s message was expressed as a fan and not as something promotional, since the Puerto Rican is a veteran fan of Pokemonsuch as Ed Sheeran, who has shown his love for Pokemon and has collaborated with the IP on multiple occasions, including most recently, which involved composing a track specifically to be the lead on Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
In case you missed it: Bad Bunny will star in a Marvel movie.
It is not the first time that Bad Bunny shows his taste for anime. In one of his songs, Yonagunithe reggaeton player mentioned Itachi, in clear reference to Narutoapart from the fact that in a good part of the song he sings in Japanese.
“You don’t catch me anymore, I’m not a Pokémon” is heard in a verse of his other song But not anymore, composed and released in 2020 by Bad Bunny. In fact, the Puerto Rican presented the song on the Late Night Show with James Corden dressed as Charizard.
