Oct. 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi maintained this Saturday that the Islamic Republic would never withdraw from negotiations on the removal of sanctions against the country and the reactivation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
“We announced from the beginning that we would not leave the negotiating table, but we would adhere to honorable negotiations, and today the logic of the Islamic Republic of Iran is accepted in the world,” he said at the opening ceremony of the academic year of Al Zahra from Tehran.
These statements come after the Biden Administration assured on Friday that the return to mutual compliance with the JCPOA depended on Iran making the political decision to return to the agreement and that if it did not, Washington “would deal with the situation and make everything possible to make sure that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.
In addition, Raisi has referred to the “role played by enemies” in the recent disturbances in the country, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim. “The enemy thought that he could follow his wishes inside the university, not knowing that our students and professors were awake and would not allow the false dreams of the enemy to arrive,” he has assured.
Later, he highlighted that 60 percent of the country’s students are women and highlighted their “investigative spirit” that combines “science and tolerance.”
“In the years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, women have shone in many academic fields in the country and have even been able to show their skills in global fields,” she added, after which she assured that the scientific achievements of women Iranians are celebrated with the flag and the national anthem.
