Rainbow Six Siege introduces subscription and Marketplace with new season

Operation New Blood, the name of Year 9 Season 2 of Rainbow Six Siege that will begin on June 11, has among its new features a subscription and the full launch of the Marketplace where you can buy and sell items. The new season also redesigns the recruit, the default agent class, applies balance adjustments, updates maps, and more.

The Rainbow Six Siege subscription “delivers exclusive content every month” and includes a legendary item for a limited time, a bundle of Epic Agent, full access to Battle Pass Premium, 10 Battle Pass tiers and a Bravo package for a total of 4,500 monthly credits. The subscription is priced at 9.99 euros per month or 79.99 euros per year. All players who register between June 11 and 18 will receive a bundle additional epic and 600 R6 credits (equivalent to 4.99 euros).

Rainbow Six Siege seasons last three months and the Battle Pass Premium included in the membership can be purchased separately in exchange for 1,200 credits (9.99 euros). For the most enthusiastic players, the subscription may be an option to consider, but for the rest the most economical alternative (as long as they decide to pay beyond the base price of the game) will continue to be the Battle Pass Premium.

On the other hand, we have the full launch of the Marketplace, a function to buy and sell appearances that has been available in beta since last January. With the start of Year 9 Season 2: Operation New Blood, all players who have at least authorization level 25 will be able to use the Marketplace without registering.

Each season of Rainbow Six Siege adds a new agent, but in the next season we will focus on redesigning the recruit, who can be offensive (Striker) or defensive (Sentry). Both options will have access to all secondary devices within certain limits and their own configuration of primary and secondary weapons. As there is no new agent, players with the Battle Pass Premium will receive a coupon to unlock any agent and if they have all of them unlocked they will receive 600 R6 credits.

Even though Rainbow Six Siege has been on the market for almost ten years, it is still a very popular game. Last March it registered 201,000 concurrent users on Steam, the highest number to date, and on any given day it has no problem exceeding 50,000 simultaneous players.
