Putin congratulates Carlos III on his accession to the throne and wishes him "all the best"

Sep. 10 () –

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, congratulated Charles III of England on his accession to the throne on Saturday and wished him “all the best”, just a few hours after he was officially proclaimed the new monarch after the death on Thursday of Elizabeth II at 96 years old.

“Your Majesty. Please accept my sincere congratulations on your accession to the throne. I wish Your Majesty success, good health and all the best. Sincerely, Vladimir Putin,” says the message sent to the monarch, published by the Kremlin through their website.

The hitherto Prince of Wales automatically ascended to the throne after the death of his mother, although he was officially proclaimed this Saturday during an act of the Access Council at St. James Palace, one day after Charles III gave his first address to the nation as the new king.
