Sony revealed this week PlayStation Playmaker, a new program to promote PS5 and its games alongside major sports, music and entertainment stars in general. Now we know that the first collaboration will be with LeBron James, an NBA player who inspired a line of accessories for PlayStation fans.
Through its blog, the company revealed a DualSense and some covers for PS5 with a special design. The accessories are black and are adorned with phrases that have been important to the life and career of the athlete. They also sport their iconic crown logo.
PlayStation explained LeBron James helped design the accessories, which will debut later this year in select regions. It was confirmed that they will be offered through the PlayStation online store, but for now its price has not been revealed. Below you can take a look:

PlayStation fans lash out at collaboration with LeBron James
Ever since PlayStation Playmaker was revealed, gamers have protested and raised their voices against the program. Many fans of the brand believe that Sony should invest time and money to get closer to its community through small gamers or content creators.
Now, part of the community is furious about the collaboration with LeBron James. While there were people excited about this collaboration, many social media users called Sony out for launching custom DualSense and covers with something that has nothing to do with video games or their popular franchises. There were also complaints about the design of the accessories, as there are people who believe that it is too simple.
“Why is putting basketball player crap on a PlayStation the first thing you do for custom skins? Couldn’t you make them related to video games?” said an angry fan.
“Do we have skins for the real Playstation GOAT aka Kratos? Also known as the God of War? Also known as the Ghost of Sparta? It seems like it should be a priority,” said another player.
