Producer prices rose 1.42% for the month

The Dane delivered this Friday the report of the Producer Price Index (IPP) for October, in which presented a variation of 1.42% for the national production with respect to the month of September 2022.

In the case of products for domestic consumption, the increase experienced by producers in the month was 1.51%while in exported products the inter-monthly variation of the indicator was 1.24%.

By sectors, the changes in the PPI in October were 1.94% in the case of the agricultural sector1.66% in manufacturing industries and 0.35% for mines and quarries.

El Dane also announced that the monthly variation that the producers saw in their costs related to domestic supply were 1.68% and in imported goods, the increase perceived in the month was 2.81%.

The IPP report disclosed that in so far this year to October the PPI variation shows an increase of 21.08%for the period January-October 2021 this was 22.07%, higher than that of the current year.

In the case of the annual variation, the PPI of the total national production experienced an increase of 25.52% compared to October 2021. The Dane also reported that the increase in the case of goods produced for internal consumption the increase was of 22.99% and in those exported 31.44%.

In October 2022 compared to October 2021 the agriculture, livestock and fishing sector presented a variation in its costs of 39.72%, while in mining they increased by 37.37%. For its part, the Industry sector recorded a variation of 18.21% in producer prices.
