Henry Cavill announced his departure from the adaptation of The Witcher by Netflix. This not only left fans baffled and heartbroken, but also speculating as to what led him to make that decision. Some indicate that it was due to conflicts in his schedule, but the most daring point out that it could be due to problems with production. What was it actually? The producer of the project wants to talk about it with the fans.
Since it was announced that Cavill would no longer give life to the protagonist Geralt de Rivia and since no specific reasons were shared, the speculations have not stopped and surely both the British actor and the production team are aware of them.

Were there problems between producer Lauren Hissrich and Henry Cavill?
So far, the fans have no more to speculate with than with Henry Cavill’s comments about the project, but to put an end to some doubts and accusations, the producer of the project spoke about it.
The main person in charge of the Netflix adaptation, Lauren Hissrich, appeared in a recent interview with NME on the occasion of the upcoming premiere of the spin-off The Witcher: Blood Origin.
The medium did not miss the opportunity to touch on the subject of Cavill’s departure and asked the producer if it was due to the actor’s busy schedule or conflicts with the production. The interesting thing is that there are plans to talk about this and clarify the uncertainty.
“We’re going to try to talk about it next year,” a publicist commented, before Hissrich could share his response. However, Hissrich later responded to something similar and detailed that he hopes to talk about this 6 months later, so he asked fans for patience.
In case you missed it: Amazon will work with Henry Cavill on projects Warhammer.
“I have a lot to say and I know there’s a lot, you know… obviously we’re never going to understand exactly why Henry left, all the reasons, but I can say that it has been a mutually respectful relationship… So please, please, please come back in 6 months, when we can talk,” were Hissrich’s exact words.
Let’s remember that Season 3 of The Witcher will debut in summer 2023; that is, in 6 months. That being said, it seems there is some sort of embargo or plan in place, which is why Hissrich can’t speak about it. The good news is that apparently there was nothing wrong with the relationship that led to the distancing between Cavill and Hissrich, contrary to what some speculations and rumors conjecture.
What do you think about this? What do you think Hissrich will reveal in 6 months? Tell us in the comments.
