Pro-EU protesters clash with police in Georgia

Large crowds of protesters took to the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia, for the fourth consecutive night to demonstrate against the country’s decision to suspend European Union accession talks. Clashes between protesters and police also occurred earlier this year. The country’s Interior Ministry stated in a statement on December 1: “The participants in the demonstration have full opportunity to express their protest in a peaceful environment, however, the public can clearly see through several television broadcasts that the “Individuals gathered together are massively violating public order.”
