Prison authorities find three lifeless prisoners in the Chimborazo prison

( Spanish) — The National Comprehensive Care Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders of Ecuador reported through a release that the security and penitentiary surveillance body of the Chimborazo prison number one found three prisoners dead.

The authorities indicated that prison security personnel found the lifeless bodies with signs of possible hanging.

The officials are in the process of removing the bodies and investigating the case, the statement added.

The authorities stressed that the prison security and police forces carry out their activities normally in all the country’s prisons and security protocols remain activated.
