Price of the dollar falls almost 100 pesos and is below $5,000

This Wednesday, November 9, the dollar registers a downward trend. At least during the first hours of the day.

By 8:28 am the dollar had an average price of $4,958.56. That is, 54.64 pesos below the TRM of the day, which is located at $5,013.20.

At the end of the day the average price was $4,914.13. Which implies a drop of 99.07 pesos with respect to the TRM.

However, the opening price of the day was $4,970.00. Along with this, the maximum trading value is $4,970.00 and the minimum $4,875.

History of the dollar in Colombia

The November 10, 1995 the dollar in Colombia reached $1,000. The figure became a milestone in the country that was going through a difficult time after the assassination, eight days earlier, of the former constituent and former presidential candidate Alvaro Gómez Hurtado.

On April 19, 2000, the dollar touched $2,000. On November 3, the dollar officially exceeded $5,000.
