Xpansiv, the first market infrastructure platform for environmental commodities, announced the launch of a new comparative evaluation of emission compensation contractsSustainable Development Global Emissions Offset (SD-GEO).
The standardized contract, which can be traded on the Xpansiv market CBL, offers a benchmark for market participants and corporate players to transact high-quality carbon offsets from projects that also have a high social impact. The SD-GEO platform will allow lto delivery of biomass stove projects with a minimum of five sustainable development goals from the Verra or Gold Standard registries.
Eligible projects are carefully vetted under the CBL Standard Tool Program, which contains Global Emissions Offset (GEO), the first tool in this series developed by Xpansiv, as well as Nature-Based Global Emissions Offset (N -GEO).
“Clean biomass cookstoves have a significant impact on sustainable development, and our high-quality projects have reached 9-11 SDGs to bring permanent and measurable improvements to underserved rural populations.”, said Chen Yang, commercial director of C-Quest Capital (CQC).
