The Polish authorities have ordered the installation of fortifications and expansion of anti-tank security measures on the border with Belarus, where they have placed defense obstacles known as ‘Czech hedgehogs’.
The Deputy Prime Minister and person in charge of the Defense portfolio, Mariusz Blaszczak, has confirmed the news on his official profile on the social network Twitter, where he has also attached up to four photographs of the new defense obstacles.
Blaszczak has stressed that work on the construction of border security measures with the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, located on the shores of the Baltic Sea, began last February.
“Today, the soldiers began to build fortifications on the border with Belarus. This is part of our defense and deterrence strategy,” said the Polish Defense Minister.
