April 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Polish authorities have demanded this Friday from the Government of Israel for help to investigate the death of a Polish aid worker in the attack on a convoy of the NGO World Central Kitchen (WCK) at the beginning of April, in which six other aid workers also died. the organization.

The Polish Government, which has described the death of the aid worker as “murder”, has insisted on the need for the case to also be brought before an independent court in Israel.

The Polish Deputy Foreign Minister, Wladislaw Teofil Bartoszewski, has described the deaths of the seven aid workers on April 1 as “horrifying and disturbing” and has indicated that Poland expects “full cooperation” from the Israeli authorities now that the Prosecutor's Office de Przemisl has opened an investigation into the matter.

His words come in the context of a debate before the Polish Parliament about the attack, where a large number of deputies have called what happened “war crimes.”

Among the deceased are citizens with British, Polish, Australian, American and Canadian nationality, as well as a Palestinian driver. The incident has caused unrest internationally, while Israel has already expelled two soldiers and reprimanded three others.

The investigation carried out by the Israeli authorities indicates that “the incident could have been avoided” and that “those who approved the attack were convinced that they were attacking armed operatives” of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
