Though Pokémon Sword & Shield debuted almost 3 years ago, Game Freak does not stop offering gifts to its players, as an example is the next distribution event in collaboration with the anime.
The Pokémon Company revealed that a new distribution event is coming up for Pokémon Sword & Shield which will offer 6 Pokemon to players. This is a very special event, because the Pokémon that will be given away are those that make up the current and best Ash Ketchum team: Dracovish, Lucario, Sirfetch’d, Gengar, Dragonite and, of course, Pikachu with Ash’s hat ( Worldcap).
Find out: a new LEVEL UP t-shirt is now available, run for yours.

Why Pokemon Will Ash’s team give away?
SPOILER: next we will talk a little about the plot of the anime, precisely the season Pokémon Ultimate Journeyswhich is currently airing in Japan, but will arrive in the West later this year.
The reason why The Pokémon Company will give away these Ash Pokémon is because in the anime a tournament is taking place in which the 8 best trainers from around the world are participating, called Pokémon Masters 8, the last phase of the World Coronation Series.
In case you missed it: The Pokémon Compay wants dads to give cards from Pokemon children on Halloween instead of candy.
At the Masters rank, the best category in the world came Leon (Galar), Cynthia (Sinnoh), Steven (Hoenn), Lance (Johto), Diantha (Kalos), Alain (Kalos), Iris (Unova) and Ash Ketchum (Kanto ). Without going into details, you should know that the first direct elimination round has already taken place and Ash Ketchum has moved into the group of the top 4 trainers.
Currently the competition is in a recess period, but it is expected to resume in the coming weeks. The distribution will take place weekly, with the transmission of a new chapter. Then we leave you with the dates (via Serebii).
- Pikachu (World Cap) — from August 11 to September 30, 2022
- Dracovish – August 12-25, 2022
- Dragonite – from August 26 to September 8, 2022
- Gengar – September 2-15, 2022
- Sirfetch’d – September 9-22, 2022
- Lucario – from September 16 to 29, 2022
The Pokémon will be level 80 and their trainer will be Satoshi (as Ash is known in Japan). One detail to keep in mind is that while Lucario has Mega Evolved in the tournament and Pikachu has used a Z-Move, it won’t be possible to replicate them in Pokémon Sword & Shieldsince these moves are not available in these titles.
Unfortunately, this distribution has only been confirmed for Japan via serial code and it is unknown if it will be redeemable in the West or if there will be a similar event for this region later, perhaps when the series becomes available in the West as well.
We will keep you informed.
