Pokémon Scarlet & Violet it was a bug fest upon release and was riddled with performance shortcomings. Thanks to the most recent update, another one appeared that prevented some players from participating in a special event. Fortunately, after almost 1 week Game Freak and Nintendo recognized the bug and shared some encouraging news.
As we told you, the Teraincursion event was marred by an error related to the previous version and the new version of the games, which affected those players who participated in the event without having the latest version. The above caused that instead of capturing Walking Wake and Iron Leaves they obtained a cursed Egg that neither hatches nor can it be discarded nor does it allow another copy of said Paradox Pokémon to be captured.

The Pokémon Company will fix the Cursed Eggs bug Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The good news is that The Pokémon Company through Nintendo acknowledged the bug and promised to fix it with the next update or patch, which will arrive at the end of April and that “will allow players to capture Walking Wake and Iron Leaves”
According to the statement, the Teraincursion event that is ongoing and that will culminate this weekend will return with the purpose of giving players who captured the Cursed Eggs a new opportunity to capture these beasts.
In case you missed it: there is a new bug that corrupts save files Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
What will happen to the Cursed Eggs of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
The announcement from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company was somewhat brief, since the date on which the event will return or how it will work is not revealed. Cursed Eggs will apparently disappear from player accounts and this will allow them to catch one of each Pokémon, just like any player who didn’t have this issue.
It is not made clear if the event will be available only to affected players or to everyone in general, but the latter is most likely the case. However, it is very possible that players who did not have problems capturing these Pokémon will not be able to recapture them, but only those affected will be able to do so (or perhaps also those who for one reason or another missed the original event and did not they caught none).
“We apologize for the trouble this bug caused to players who found it,” concluded The Pokémon Company, reiterating that more updates are on the way. We will keep you informed.
