It is common to see that the events of Pokémon GO are focused on special captures, such as Community Days. However, in 2023, we have seen that the company has stepped on the accelerator in the development of very creative content; for example, you can now drop a Pokémon at a PokéStop to loot for you.
The most recent event that was announced on the official blog is “Hatching Day”. Perhaps it could become a recurring or monthly event, like Community Day, if it is very well accepted by gamers.
“We are excited to announce that Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon, will be the protagonist during the upcoming Hatching Day event.
Wait, what is a Hatching Day? How can you participate? Read on to find out all about this new event coming to Pokémon GO for the first time this July!”, details Niantic.
Hatching Day in Pokémon GO
From 2 pm to 5 pm on July 22, players will be able to get Riolu in 2km Eggs. If you’re lucky, you’ll find it in its shiny or variocolor version. Something very similar to Community Day, but here you will have to go for a walk.
What is Hatching Day?
Just like Pokémon GO Community Days, Research Days, or Raid Days, Hatch Days are dedicated to specific Pokémon.
On Hatching Days, it all comes down to hatching Eggs! You will have a greater chance that the featured Pokémon in the 2 km Eggs will hatch and that it will be its varicolor version, don’t you think it’s the best?
The first Hatching Day will focus on Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. Get those incubators ready and see how many Riolu you can hatch during the three hours of the event!
event bonuses
- You’ll have a higher chance of a Shiny Riolu spawning from Eggs!
- Double Stardust for hatching Eggs.
- You’ll get more 2km Eggs at PokéStops.
Remember that Community Day has been scheduled for July 30. You will be able to capture Poliwag, who has two evolutions and two unique movements. Poliwrath will get Counter, while Politoed will get Ice Beam.
