Pokémon GO It is one of the most successful games of recent times and it seems that it still has a lot to offer. Because of this, a couple of scientists living in Antarctica asked for a PokéStop and Niantic made it possible.

The situation was announced in a publication in reddit, where this curious fact was told in which 2 Australian scientists, Raimon Hennessy and Pete Rizzo, were working at the Davis Research Station in that frozen region. Despite being surrounded by beautiful snow-covered landscapes, they both needed a way to spend their free time.

Because of this, the partner of one of them posted a request on Reddit, addressed to Niantic, to add a PokéStop to the aforementioned station. Fortunately for the players, those responsible for the title listened to the request and made it possible.

It is worth mentioning that to get a Pokéstop or a gym at a specific point on the map in Pokémon GOthe place must be of historical or educational value, an interesting work, unique architecture or public parks, among others, in addition to which you must have reached at least level 38 within the game.

These requirements were what led Raimon's girlfriend, Alexandra, to make the request, since she has the highest level in the game. Thanks to this, those responsible for the delivery gave a prize to some fans who will now have something to clear their minds in an area like Antarctica.

Pokémon GO It is available for iOS and Android. You can learn more about this mobile game by visiting our minisite dedicated to it.
