There is an event that became a tradition in Pokémon GO: Community Day. It is a day of the month when players from all over the world take to the streets to capture a particular creature. The goal is to evolve it and get a special moment; in addition, of course, to benefit from all the bonuses of the event.
In July of this year, it will return on Community Day and now it carries the label of “classic”. Although niantic He has not confirmed it, everything seems to indicate that from now on we will have the common days with a single capture and another where there are many more bonuses.

July Community Day Special Capture
Squirtle will be the protagonist of the event. He will appear most frequently from 2 to 5 PM on July 9. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to get it in the shiny version of it, while if you evolve it, you’ll have the special move Hydrocannon.
This featured attack does 80 damage in trainer fights and 90 in gyms and raids. Also, as a surprise of the month, a Squirtle with sunglasses will appear in the field investigations, in the same style as Ash’s Squirtle.

event bonuses
- A quarter of the distance to hatch required when Eggs are placed in an incubator during the event.
- Bait Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (except for Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take some snapshots during Classic Community Day for a surprise!
Remember that the event ends at 5 in the afternoon, but you can get Blastoise’s special movement until the end of the day. It is a very good opportunity to collect enough candies and gain experience with wild catches.
