How much will Remote Raid Passes cost in Pokémon GO?
Weeks ago, thanks to datamines, indications were found in the game files that Niantic wanted to limit Remote Raid Passes and through a statement on the game’s official page, the company has just confirmed that changes are coming for these items.
According to the details, the adjustments will take effect on April 6 and thanks to them, the Remote Raid Passes will not only be able to be used in a limited way, but will also be more expensive.
Remote Raid Passes will no longer cost 100 PokéCoins, but 195 (95% increase). Players who want to get a better price will have to buy the 3-pack, which will no longer cost 300 PokéCoins, but 525.
After the change, players will only be able to use 5 Remote Raid Passes per day, nothing more. But this could “change and increase in special events”. Before, players had to do 20 Remote Raids (buy 20 Remote Raid Passes) to get 1 shiny Pokémon (approximately), but after the change, they won’t be able to, instead if they don’t leave home they will be able to get 1 shiny Pokémon from Raid every 4 days (approximately).
To encourage face-to-face Raids, Niantic will add a 3-Pack of Premium Battle Passes (allowing you to join face-to-face Raids) with a value of 250 Pokécoins, apart from those who participate in person will earn more Candy ++ (XL). Additionally, research achievements may offer Remote Raid Passes. If the player already has the limit of Remote Raid Passes stored in the Bag (5), this will be converted to 1 Premium Battle Pass.
