Pokémon: all the times Ash received a kiss in the anime

Ash's kisses in Pokémon history

Ash is the protagonist of Pokemon and his love for fantastic creatures got the better of his romances. A follower of the successful Japanese franchise counted all the times Ash was kissed in more than 20 years of television programming. It will not be necessary for this publication to be extensive, because he only received five kisses in total.

Ash’s first kiss in Pokemon was given by Team Rocket. It’s not that they made amends, but that the villains dressed up to give Ash a prize and thus steal Pikachu.

The third kiss is not from a human, but from a Pokemon. Chikorita is very emotional with Ash, so there are scenes of the creature kissing his trainer several times.

Ash’s fourth kiss is hard to describe. Bianca first appeared in Heroes Pokemon: Latios and Latias. The detail is that Bianca has a great affection for Latias, a Legendary Pokémon capable of taking on the appearance of the young trainer. At the end of the movie, we see Bianca giving Ash a kiss but the community does not determine if it is the original Bianca of Latias transformed.

The fifth kiss was with Serena. She kissed Ash at the end of pokemon xy before leaving for Hoenn. There is an interesting debate here, because some do not consider it a real kiss since it was not on the lips. The same director of XY had to resolve the doubts and confirmed that it was a kiss on the lips. For that reason, the production decided to darken the scene for the children’s audience.

There is a rumor that May kissed Ash in a banned episode, but that is not the case. The only Pokemon Advance chapter that was banned (at least in Japan) featured a bunch of Barboach and Whiscash. The censorship was due to the fact that those Pokémon frequently used the movement “Earthquake” and the broadcast coincided with the earthquakes that hit Japan.
