Some time ago we were talking about the next generation of virtual reality from Sony for its PlayStation consoles, and today the company has revealed some new details of the software experience and not just the hardware of the helmets. Let’s remember that these VR glasses will have 4K HDR OLED screens, among other things.
as we can read on sony blogthe new generation of PlayStation VR will have improvements in the user experience compared to the previous generation, starting with the possibility of seeing outside the helmet without taking it off. This will allow us to check where we are with respect to any nearby wall, in addition to being able to make sure that there is nothing around us.
The cinematic mode will allow us to see non-VR content on a virtual cinema screen, so that, despite the fact that we are not playing a movie with support for virtual reality, we can enjoy some of the advantages that this technology provides. As for games without VR support, the situation will be the same.
We also found a broadcast mode, which will allow us to broadcast our VR games to platforms like Twitch more easily, connecting a PS5 HD Camera to our console to show ourselves.
