PlayStation StarsSony’s new loyalty program for users of its game console, will arrive in Europe on October 13, after its debut this Thursday in the Asian market.
In July, Sony introduced PlayStation Stars, an initiative that allows players to earn prizes for completing various campaigns and activities, from which they earn loyalty points that can later be redeemed in a catalog that will include funds for the wallet of PlayStation Network (PSN) and certain products of PlayStation Store.
This Thursday has debuted in Asiaincluding Japan, in a regional release that precedes the one for North and South America (October 5), and finally the one for Australia and the european market, where will it arrive on october 13as reported on your blog.
One of the characteristic elements of this loyalty program are the so-called ‘Digital Collectibles’, digital representations of characteristic elements of the console universe, such as iconic characters and devices that are part of the company’s history.
Sony has already clarified that these are not non-fungible tokens (NFT) nor do they use the ‘blockchain’ technology, and therefore they cannot be changed or sold.
