PlayStation seeks professionals to boost gaming in the cloud

sony wants to promote the cloud play areafor which it is looking for twenty professionals to help develop and implement a strategy for its PlayStation video console, to “offer unique and fun gaming experiences to millions of players.”

The technology company has opened a selection process to incorporate twenty people into his Future Technology Group (FTG), within Sony Interactive Entertainment, whose mission will be to “lead the cloud gaming revolution”, as stated in The Verge.

These positions include a director of product management, various platform engineers, software engineers, technical project managers, network engineers, business intelligence analysts, and security architects, as well as hardware engineers and architects, among others.

Precisely, in the offer for director of hardware engineeringthe company specified that “FTG is responsible for the research and development of technology for cloud gaming and game consoles in domains including data centers, servers, streaming, rendering, video encoding, artificial intelligence, and networking.”

This group has participated in developments such as Gran Turismo Sophy, created by Sony AI with the FTG cloud gaming platform, as highlighted by SIE in the offer for a position of platform engineer (DevOps, AWS).

And it is “leading the cloud gaming revolution, putting console-quality video games on any device, from televisions to consoles, mobile devices and more,” as they qualify in the offer for technical writer.
