When PlayStation turned 20, Sony announced a special edition inspired by the first console. A decade later, PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary and the Japanese company is repeating the move with PS5, PS5 Pro, the DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers, and PlayStation Portal. The collection will be available on November 21 and reservations will open on September 26 via PlayStation Direct. All products are limited edition. There are 12,300 numbered units of the PS5 Pro bundle with an engraving on the console.

The most ambitious option in every sense is the PlayStation 5 Pro, which is sold in a package accompanied by a DualSense and DualSense Edge, a charging station for the controllers, a cover for the disc drive (which must be purchased separately) and the stand to put the console vertically. To all this we add a cable with the same style as that of the first PlayStation, cable ties with the iconic PlayStation shapes, a PlayStation sticker, a limited edition poster (1 of 30 possible designs) and a PlayStation clip. The price is not yet known, but it will not be a huge deal. bundle economic.

The PS5 Standard and Digital bundle includes the same content as the PS5 Pro bundle, except for the DualSense Edge controller and charging station.

“We’ve had five fantastic console generations since the launch of our first PlayStation console,” said Hideaki Nishino, Head of PlayStation Platform. “We’re proud of the innovations and experiences we’ve brought to the PlayStation community over the years, while staying on top of technology as it’s advanced.” […] Everything we’ve done is to ensure that PlayStation is the best place to play.”

“We believe the beginning of our journey is an important part of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s history, and that’s why we’re paying tribute to it by bringing the original PlayStation design to the latest PS5 products to celebrate the past 30 years,” Nishino added.
